When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you.
-- African Proverb
Who is your enemy?
Who is hurting you?
Who is preventing you from any progress?
You may look outside for answer and you can blame others for all the problems you have.
Yet, it is good to reflect the other way:
"If you blame others for your failure, do you credit them with your success?"
-- Author unknown
Hence, if you fail, you may need to search within for the answer and do something about it! You may find a way to fix it if you are not running away from it!

Desire in study
Study without desire spoils the memory, and it retains nothing that it takes in.
